If any of you listened to LBC (if you don’t you should) during the lead up to the potential industrial action on November the 5^th you would have heard Mr Coleman consistently deny any suggestion by the FBU that he was planning to reduce fire cover in London as he looked to introduce new shift patterns.

It now looks as if Coleman is kicking off a review if he can reduce the numbers of Fire Engines in service less than a week the FBU called off the 5^th of November strike off.

And they wonder why politicians have no credibility.

Although trying to get Cameron to actually define what the big society was harder than getting Anne Widdecombe to do a proper Cha-cha-cha. The basic idea seemed to be as Cameron slashed and burned the capacity of the State to provide social care an army of voluntary sector workers would step in an pick up the mess. Unfortunately where is army would come from was never clear -until now.

Ian Duncan Smith who goes by the nickname IDS (doesn’t that sound like a bowel disorder?) has leaked his plans to use the long term unemployed as cheap £1 an hour labour to provide a workforce for the big society.

The scheme ticks two boxes is make it looks as if they are tackling ‘scroungers’ therefore making Daily Mail readers happy. It also provides a below minimum wage workforce to backfill all the workers that the collation is about to cut.

Given that implementing this scheme is going to cost money what’s the betting that some private company administers the scheme and makes a profit off the back of some of society’s most vulnerable.

You may be overseeing the decimation of the public sector and the sacking of thousands of public servants, but, when you’re a wannabe superstar diva you absolutely must have a sycophantic entourage following you around.

Coming hot on the news that Davy has put his photographer and video maker on the payroll – the first time in history a Prime Minister has had a personal photographer.  The Guardian is now reporting that he’s added his wife’s stylist as well as former Tory head of “brand communications” to his wagon train.

Cameron was embarrassingly unable to defend his hiring of photographer Andrew Parsons, and former WebCameron editor Nicky Woodhouse to the public purse at £35,000 a pop at Prime Minister Questions. You can understand his difficulties given that even the Queen doesn’t have a ‘media team’

So now the tax payer is facing at least a £170,000 wage bill for this highly paid team of yes men and the average earner pays £9,600 in tax every year – at least  17 of you are paying tax just to keep these people employed.

Brian Coleman that bombastic and persistently annoying Tory who is the Chair of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority has been on maneuvers this morning.

The moon faced moron popped up on Nick Ferrari LBC show trying to justify his plan to change the contracts of men and women on run into burning buildings by sacking 5,557 London Fire Brigade employees.

Amazingly when Nick told him that he was having Evridiki Spanos on after him to talk about her experience with the AssetCo the company Coleman contracted to provide fire cover during the strikes he suggested she was politically motivated by saying:

‘it’ll be interesting to see where her allegiances lay’

Eviridki spoke about the keystone cop antics of AssetCo (who Coleman had previous called ‘highly trained’) who turned up to her house fire. They couldn’t fit the hose to the hydrant for 20 minutes. Then after the agonizing wait they weren’t even able to hit the burning house once connected.

It’s obvous why Coleman wants to defend AssetCo a company he awarded the £12 million contract to them after being wined and dined by them.
